Overview
GHK is the tripeptide glycyl-histidyl-lysine and can bind copper(II). The 1988 original study examines GHK-Cu in relation to collagen synthesis in fibroblast cultures.
Identity & classification
- NAME
- GHK-Cu
- RESEARCH CATEGORY
- COSMETIC-SCIENCE RESEARCH
- MOLECULAR CLASS
- A complex of GHK and copper(II)
- KEY DISTINCTION
- Distinguish free GHK, its copper complex and finished formulations
Reading the evidence
Cell-culture observations and the performance of a finished formulation are different levels of evidence. Record the chemical form, model and endpoints so that findings from different materials are not treated as interchangeable.
